Local, family-focused care
Care that fits life in Stateline
Stateline is a small town with a big workforce. The casino resorts along US-50, Edgewood Tahoe, Heavenly and the Tahoe Blue Event Center employ thousands of people, and much of that work means long shifts on your feet, lifting and the same motions repeated again and again. Up on the Kingsbury ridge, an average year brings about 120 inches of snow, so plenty of local backs and shoulders are already working hard before the shift starts. Stateline and South Lake Tahoe share one South Shore downtown, and our office is about 8 minutes away on US-50.
Life here is active all year, too: skiing and riding out of Heavenly's Stagecoach and Boulder lodges, hiking the Tahoe Rim Trail from the Kingsbury trailheads, walking Rabe Meadow out to Nevada Beach, or a round at Edgewood. Dr. Joel Mackes shares that love of the mountains and anything snow-related, and he is passionate about helping patients move better and stay active. For families, Dr. Emma Freeze brings a special interest in pregnancy and pediatric chiropractic care and is certified in the Webster Technique, so parents and kids from Kingsbury, Lake Village, Round Hill Village and Zephyr Cove can all be cared for in one place. That is what whole-family wellness means to us.
What we help with
How we can help Stateline residents
Back pain from long shifts on your feet
Casino floors, hotel work, ski-resort jobs and event setups mean hours of standing and lifting. We look for what is really straining your lower back.
Learn more →Repetitive work strain
Dealing cards, hotel housekeeping and ski-resort or event work at Stateline's casino resorts, Heavenly and the Tahoe Blue Event Center repeat the same motions all shift. We help with the aches and strains that build up on the job.
Learn more →Ski, snowboard and trail injuries
With Heavenly's Nevada lodges up the grade and Tahoe Rim Trail trailheads nearby, we care for skiers, riders and hikers who want to keep moving.
Learn more →Knee pain
Long ski days, steep trails and heavy shoveling all load the knees. We look at how your hips, knees and spine are working together.
Learn more →Shoulder strain from snow shoveling
Clearing driveways on the Kingsbury ridge, which averages about 120 inches of snow a year, is hard work for shoulders and upper backs.
Learn more →Whiplash after a car accident
Winter storms bring chain controls to Kingsbury Grade, and US-50 is the main road through town. After a collision, we offer gentle care for whiplash.
